Here comes our regular project update. Sorry for the delay in publishing due to recent overlapping project activities and business travels.
In the past 3 weeks we had these exciting things going on:
All Inaugural Artisan Tea Club Packages Shipped!
Many thanks to everyone's remarkable interest to our inaugural Tea Club package! After working closely with our logistics partners, we have shipped out all of our packages to backers who have ordered.
Many of you have already received your package and we hope you've enjoyed the tea. For others packages still in transit amidst this busy holiday season, you should have received an email with your tracking number for monitoring its delivery status.
Manufacturing Update
Brewer Hardware
We have visited our manufacturing partner's factory last week to oversee the good progress we made regarding the production version brewer samples. The overall quality and dimensions meet our expectations. Note that these first-round samples do not carry any surface treatment and finishing that will be included our final product.
We are currently testing these samples while benchmarking our earlier prototype for brewing and other functional performance. We expect we will complete all testing by the end of December and submit our production samples to external labs for safety certification.
PCBA
We are closing in on our integration tests with our PCBA, brewer hardware and app, which should be completed next week.
App
We are working closely with our app development partners to clean up the bug list as well as finishing up the translation work for our English version. Both expected to be completed within next week.
We have already started sending our alpha app to a small group of backers for testing. General beta testing will begin after we finish our current round of debugging.
To those who have ordered our tea packages, you can scan the QR code on the package with our smartphone browser to access the app download page. We expect to activate the installation links on the download page by Christmas.
Over the next 2 weeks we will see:
- Completion of integration testing of PCBA, app and brewer hardware
- Beta testing for our app open to backer community
- Continued testing for production version brewer samples
